Phone Clover vs LC Phone
LC Phone is the phone system built into HighLevel, running on Twilio. It works for many accounts and needs no extra app. Phone Clover is a private HighLevel app (early access) that puts Telnyx numbers behind HighLevel texting and adds a browser phone inside the CRM. Stay on LC Phone if
- you want the simplest built-in setup with nothing to connect;
- you need calling in the HighLevel mobile app;
- you need 911 from your phone system;

Telnyx per-minute rates are well under LC Phone's. Phone Clover adds a software fee, so at light call volume LC Phone can cost less overall. Heavy callers save the most.
Moving from LC Phone?
Start with new Telnyx numbers, or numbers already in your Telnyx account. To keep texting on a landline or VoIP number you already use, Hosted SMS adds texting to it directly, no porting required.
Frequently asked questions
Can I run Phone Clover and LC Phone in the same sub-account?
Texting can only have one provider per sub-account, so once Phone Clover is the SMS provider, texts go through Telnyx. Calls on existing LC Phone numbers are not affected by installing Phone Clover.
Do I have to port my LC Phone numbers?
No. Phone Clover runs on your own Telnyx account: start with new Telnyx numbers or use ones you already have there. For texting on a landline or VoIP number you already own elsewhere, use Hosted SMS.
Is Phone Clover cheaper than LC Phone?
Not for most sub-accounts. You pay Telnyx directly, and per minute Telnyx voice costs less than half of LC Phone, but Pro adds a $79 monthly subscription, so a typical sub-account pays more in total. Teams choose Phone Clover for texting from an existing number, calling lists, the caller card, number health and reporting. Very heavy callers and international numbers are where the per-minute savings can outweigh the subscription.
